Working at our Central District and Capitol Hill locations, Teresa graduated from Cortiva's 1000 hour program in early 2016, her style is informed by structural bodywork and treatment massage. Specializing in deep tissue, neuromuscular techniques, and muscle-specific focus work tied into relaxation flow, she works to affect muscle integrity positively, building to a place of ease in movement without pain accompaniment.
Teresa has previously worked with special populations through domestic violence and sexual assault services, hospice care, and family shelter services, bringing those experiences with her to the table. Creating a safe and ultimately healing environment for all bodies and identities is vital for her craft, as is meeting people where they are at in those moments. Redefining touch in a way that is comfortable, respectful, and treatment goal-oriented is what drives Teresa as a practitioner.
